Moratti: "An effective, intelligent performance"

MILAN – Massimo Moratti answered the questions of the waiting journalists gathered outside the Saras offices this morning.

Read what the president had to say in full on inter.it:

Another goal from Cassano in yesterday’s win over Torino.

"He did well but so did the others because we played an intelligent game of football. Well done to the coach who oversaw a careful approach in which we kept the ball. That’s what we needed to do, the match went well."

Yesterday Andrea Stramaccioni got angry with those who branded Inter’s style as "provincial". What are your thoughts on that?

"I think whoever described us as such chose the wrong term because I don’t think we played defensively. Whoever said it was wrong to, and it comes back to this desire to say something negative about Inter even if it’s not actually the case."

How important is it to have Andrea Ranocchia back, who with Juan Jesus can make up the centre-back partnership for the future?

"Yes, they are the pairing for the future but we’re now living in the present and we have other talented players. They’ll have the time and means to improve and if they continue to perform like yesterday, they’ll do very well indeed."

Do you like this Inter side, which is a bit more compact but certainly more clinical?

"Yes, we’re definitely more clinical. We need a little more pace, but yesterday I thought we played an intelligent match."

Are you concerned by the substitution of Wesley Sneijder, who was furious as he left the pitch?

"No, not at all! I actually think it’s great he gets annoyed because that shows he wants to play."

However are these signs that in the long term could potentially ruin his relationship with the coach?

"No, I don’t think so. The coach knows what he’s doing and the players are switched on."

  1. Strama..
Why u never believe with coutinho, i thing he is a good payer..
U can used 4-2-3-1 for your team..

    Handabovic
    Zanetti, rano, juan/samuel, pereira
    Cambiaso, guarin/gargano
    Cassano/ricky alvares, sneijder, coutinho
    Milito

    Please try this strategy….
    Make offensive, don’t devensive…
