MILAN – Inter’s Colombian centre-back Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, born on 11 August 1976, is 35 today.

MILAN – On 11 August 2007 Inter team manager Guido Susini passed away. Four
years later, we still feel the loss of a faithful colleague and a great friend.
To Monica and their beautiful children we send our warmest embraces.

BARI – Italy defeated World Cup winners Spain 2-1 in a friendly at the Stadio
San Nicola in Bari. Andrea Ranocchia played for 76 minutes, Thiago Motta was
subbed out for Domenico Criscito in the 54th minute and Giampaolo Pazzini came
on in the 60th minute (for Giuseppe Rossi).

After the 11th-minute goal from Montolivo, and the subsequent Spanish equaliser
from Xabi Alonso (in the 37th minute from a penalty), Aquilani hit
the winner from a perfect touch back from Pazzini in the 84th
minute.

STUTTGART – The Brazil of Julio Cesar, Maicon and Lucio and was defeated 3-2 by
Germany in a friendly match played this evening at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in
Stuttgart (59 pen. Schweinsteiger, 66 Gotz, 71 Robinho, 79 Schürrle, 91
Neymar). For the Germans it is a victory that had finally arrived after 18
years.

The Nerazzurri goalkeeper, who made a tremendous save at the beginning of the
match – with which he foiled a near goal from Mario Gotzetra – played the
entire 90 minutes, as did Lucio. Maicon, however, did not play.
