Zanetti: "Let's get our heads down and move on"

MILAN – He tried as hard as anybody to lead his side to victory tonight, but it wasn’t to be against Torino. Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Javier Zanetti reflected on the result after the match: “If we look at the way the game went we should say it’s a point gained, but we’re still disappointed because despite a few difficulties we spent the entire second half on the front foot. We tried to win it and it’s just too bad we couldn’t pull it off.

“We have to get our heads down and move on now. It’s not the best of moments for us but we mustn’t look for excuses. We’ll come through it. When? I don’t know. We always try to do our best, sometimes we manage it, sometimes we don’t.

“Signings? The president, the coach and the directors are constantly working to improve the team. If someone comes in, he’ll be more than welcome here, but we players just have to concentrate on the pitch and on getting on with our jobs.”
