MILAN – Inter and Bayern Munich’s senior youth teams will do battle tonight in the inaugural UEFA Champions League Under-18 Challenge at Real Madrid reserve team’s Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano (kick-off 19:00).
Besides the Inter Primavera players born in 1991 and 1992, Fulvio Pea has taken Under-17 youngsters Di Gennaro, Crescenti, Galimberti, Hoxha, Romanò and Cheremeh to Spain. Both teams have decided not to play their ‘senior’ players born in 1990.
"It will be a great occasion," said Inter academy’s sporting director Piero Ausilio, who will watch the match with Inter chief executive Ernesto Paolillo. "We owe this chance to the first team who made it to the final. We will give our best to honour the match, the shirt and the colours of Inter."
The match will be shown live on Eurosport and Sky Sport Italia.
Inter starting lineup (probable): Di Gennaro; Natalino, Rigione, Kysela, Biraghi; Obiora, Crisetig, Carlsen, Stevanovic; Dell’Agnello, Alibec.
