UEL, Gargano: "We can go as far as we want"

APPIANO GENTILE – Walter Gargano was the player chosen by Andrea Stramaccioni to attend the pre-match press conference ahead of Inter v Partizan Belgrade, tomorrow at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (kick-off 19:00) in Matchday 3 of the UEFA Europa League.

"We can go as far as we want and compete on all fronts. If you’re at a club like Inter that’s the attitude you have to take. And we all believe it. We understand what the coach wants from us and we try to give our best," explained the midfielder.

"If the coach asks me to play left wing or as a wide forward, I’ll do it. I’ll do whatever he asks of me. The other day he played me a bit further forward and I enjoyed it. It’s not about what position you play, it’s how much you want it." This was Gargano’s response to questions about his position and how he’s adapting to the Nerazzurri’s style of play.

When asked about concerns over Serbian fans ahead of tomorrow’s match, the Uruguayan commented that, "the players are focused solely on the game itself. We’re concentrating on what the coach asks of us, nothing else."

Finally a word on how tiring his overseas trips are with the national team: "It’s tough travelling long distances, it really does wear you out. The coach has wisely used players who trained all week long."
