MILAN – Today was the last day for clubs to reach an agreement regarding players in co-ownership. As Massimo Moratti left the Saras offices, he briefly answered a few questions on the subject put to him by the waiting journalists.
President, Enrico Preziosi wanted to let Inter have Mattia Destro. Now he says that he’ll play for Siena next season. What happened?
"I don’t know. They’ll know more about it than I do."
Are you still hopeful?
"It’s not a question of being hopeful… I’m just keeping an eye on developments in the transfer market, that’s all."
Apparently certain agreements were changed. So was there an agreement to bring Destro to Inter?
"Ask Preziosi about that. I don’t know."
