Lazio patron Claudio Lotito reportedly considers offering Massimiliano Allegri a return to Serie A, as coach Simone Inzaghi keeps postponing the contract talks.
The Aquile President has, according to Il Messaggero, started looking at the possible options, since Inzaghi has yet to reach an agreement with the club.
The newspaper reports Lotito offered Inzaghi a new three-year contract with the Biancocelesti, but the former striker, who has helped Lazio back to the Champions League, keeps postponing his decision.
The patron dreams of Allegri at the helm and the report reveals he already met with the former Milan and Juventus coach in Tuscany during the summer.
Allegri wants a return to football and Lazio have tried to renew with Inzaghi. Il Messaggero claims Lotito has started looking elsewhere for solutions and Allegri could be a possibility if Inzaghi doesn’t renew.
