Report: Conte asks for guarantees at Inter

Inter coach Antonio Conte reportedly wants guarantees from Suning ahead of the upcoming season.

The Nerazzurri coach has been coy about his own future at the Giuseppe Meazza, even if his contract expires in June 2022.

The former Juventus tactician ended the Bianconeri’s dominance in Italy by helping Inter to their first Scudetto in 11 years but reports in Italy claim Conte might not stay for next season.

The coach said he will decide his future when the right time comes: “Let’s enjoy this moment, there will be time to talk together, with the President and directors, to choose the path for Inter.”

Tuttosport reports Conte wants to understand if the emergency plan studied by Suning is contingent on the uncertainty that reigns around the search for new partners or if the downsizing plan will have no exceptions.

It’s clear that giving up on €13.5m a season would be a very heavy blow for Conte, but the coach wants to clearly understand the plan and strategies for the future of the club and above all from the owners, now that the Scudetto has arrived.
