Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia is on the verge of completing his transfer back to old club Genoa.
The 32-year-old centre-back is in advanced negotiations, with the two clubs close to an agreement, according to Sportitalia.
His contract only runs to June 2021, so this will be a permanent switch.
It is a return to Genoa for Ranocchia, who first joined the club in 2008 and remained on their books until his €13m sale to Inter in January 2011.
There were recent loan spells at Sampdoria and Hull City for six months, but otherwise he remained an Inter stalwart.
Ranocchia leaves after almost a decade with 207 competitive games for the Nerazzurri, scoring 13 goals.
