Picking the Best Potential Inter Lineup to Face Parma on Saturday

Inter return to domestic action as they face off against Parma at the San Siro on Saturday afternoon.

After a mixed start which has seen the Nerazzurri pick up four points from their opening three matches, Luciano Spalletti will be desperate to keep up the momentum his side generated after they ran out 3-0 winners over Bologna in their last match before the international break.

Here’s a look at how they could potentially line up.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Samir Handanovic (GK) – The Slovenian keeper is certain to keep his place between the sticks.

Danilo D’Ambrosio (RB) – Sime Vrsaljko picked up an injury on international duty so D’Ambrosio will start in his place.

Milan Skriniar (CB) – Miranda found himself out of the team after the opening day defeat to Sassuolo and Skriniar has been playing in his place ever since.

Stefan de Vrij (CB) – The Dutchman has had a decent start to his career with Inter and he’ll be looking to continue that good form.

Kwadwo Asamoah (LB) – Asamoah’s versatility means that he will be capable of dropping back into a more conventional full-back position.

2. Midfielders

Roberto Gagliardini (CM) – Gagliardini made his first appearance of the season against Bologna and he should keep his place.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) – A first team regular, Brozovic will partner Gagliardini in a deep lying midfield role.

Matteo Politano (RM) – One of Inter’s best performers so far this season and he should keep his place despite Antonio Candreva’s goal against Bologna.

Ivan Perisic (LM)  – His importance to the side is unparalleled and he is a certainty to start.

Radja Nainggolan (AM) – Got off the mark with his first goal for Inter against Bologna and he’ll continue to act as the side’s creative influence.

3. Forward

Mauro Icardi (ST) – Inter’s main man was forced to sit out against Bologna as he was nursing a muscle injury, but he was able to feature for Argentina during the international break.

That shows that he is back to full fitness and should be raring to go against Parma.
