Inter Channel: follow Inter in Indonesia

JAKARTA – Indonesia for everyone. With Inter set to play two friendlies in Jakarta – the first, tomorrow Thursday 24 May, and the second on Saturday 26 May – Inter Channel has decided to give a big present to all Nerazzurri fans. The games will be available to even those who don’t susbcribe to the channel.

The friendlies will also be streamed live on so don’t miss the first game tomorrow, from 14:00 CET onwards (19:00 local time).

Subscribers to Inter Channel can see a series of exclusives from Indonesia every day, so they too can be a part of the side’s foreign tour.

Indonesia 2012: training at Gelora Bung Karno

JAKARTA – The Nerazzurri’s first training session at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium lasted around an hour. Following an initial warm-up based on stretching and keep-ball with coach Stefano Rapetti – the goalkeepers worked separately with Alessandro Nista – Andrea Stramaccioni organised a 10 v 10 game on a small pitch.

The players put on a show, scoring lots of goals, some of which – like Diego Milito’s first strike – had the Indonesian fans celebrating in the stands.

Bedy Moratti and Ernesto Paolillo kept an eye on proceedings from the sidelines. The squad were met by applause and songs from a thousand members of Inter Club Indonesia.

JAKARTA – Inter are at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium for the first time, the arena which will host their training sessions as well as their two friendlies, tomorrow and 26 May. Andrea Stramaccioni’s side are greeted by songs and banners as members of Inter Club Indonesia watch their favourite team from the stands. Indonesia 2012: first session this afternoon

JAKARTA – After the opening press conference of the tour and a spot of lunch, the Nerazzurri will have some down time. Then it’s off to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium at 17:30 (12:30 CET) for training ahead of Inter’s friendly tomorrow against a mixed XI, made up of players from the Indonesia U23 side and the best from the national league.

Zanetti: "Here to make the fans happy"

JAKARTA – As the press conference began, Javier Zanetti was still thinking about the
thousands of Inter fans who greeted him and his team-mates at the airport: "An unbelievable reception, we’re very pleased, thanks ever so much. The next few days in Indonesia are going to make for a wonderful experience, it’s the first time I’ve been to this country and it’s a real honour. Thank you for the warmth you’ve shown. It’s been a tough season but we hope to make our fans happy, at least over the next few days," smiled the captain. "And then we’ll focus on next year with fresh energy."

Zanetti was also asked to comment on the possible signing of Rodrigo Palacio: "He’s someone I know well, we’re talking about a terrific player, he hasn’t just burst on the scene."
