Inter have released a blistering statement attacking Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala for his ‘disrespectful and insulting’ comments round the stadium project.
The plans for the new stadium to exchange or maybe restyle San Siro are placed on hold by Mayor Sala thanks to the “uncertainty” around Inter’s current owners.
Suning have put a part of the club for sale because of financial difficulties.
Inter hit back this afternoon with a furious formal statement.
“FC Internazionale Milano features a glorious ultra-centenary history,” read the statement.
“It existed before Mayor Sala and will exist when his mandate ends.
“We find the comments from the Mayor of Milan offensive towards the owners, disrespectful towards the history and reality of the Club and its many fans in Milan and every one over the planet, to not mention irrelevant with reference to the present administrative process on the New Stadium for Milan project.
“If it’s confirmed that Inter and therefore the Owners aren’t appreciated by the present administration, we will know how to take the consequent decisions.”
