The Nerazzurri boss says he and his president are united in their vision to bring the club back to the top after a few years in the wilderness
Inter boss says Walter Mazzarri says he and president Erick Thohir are united in their goal of restoring the club to their former glory.
The San Siro side have endured a few disappointing season, dropping out of contention for the top places in Serie A and finishing as low as ninth in 2012-13.
However, they returned to European football under Mazzarri last term and the former Napoli coach has hailed his president’s vision and dedication.
“I have an excellent rapport with Thohir and can assure you so far he has been the ideal president,” the former Napoli coach told the Corriere dello Sport.
“We had time to get to know each other and that relationship grew with time. Now we have a joint project that can allow us to build a great Inter over the years.
“We are only at the beginning and so far everything has been done within strict economic parameters. We are all working to restructure, rejuvenate and re-launch Inter.”
Inter opened the Serie A season with a 0-0 draw at Torino and face Sassuolo next Sunday.
