The Croatia international has attracted the interest of the Serie A outfit and is open to a move ahead of the 2015-16 campaign
Ivan Perisic’s agent has revealed that Inter have tabled an offer for the Wolfsburg attacker and that his client is keen to move to San Siro.
The Nerazzurri are desperate to strengthen their squad after an underwhelming 2014-15 campaign and have already brought in Geoffrey Kondogbia, Martin Montoya and Miranda in recent weeks.
Roberto Mancini’s men are not done in the transfer market just yet, though, and have now set their sights on Perisic.
“Inter have made Ivan a fantastic offer,” the Croatian’s agent, Tonci Martic, was quoted as saying by Bild.
“A transfer could happen if Inter and Wolfsburg reach an agreement. Ivan is very much interested in a transfer.
“Mancini desperately wants him. Inter are a big club and it is flattering for any player if they come knocking.
“We will have to discuss this with Wofsburg, though. We respect the club and don’t know whether they are willing to sell Ivan.
“This could be a good deal for all concerned.”
Perisic joined Wolfsburg from Borussia Dortmund in 2013 and has since developed into an important first-team member.
The 26-year-old has a contract until June 2017 with his current club.
