Inter-Chievo Preview: Floundering Nerazzurri looking to win their third match in 2013

Inter will have to make do without the services of Luca Castellazzi, Walter Samuel, Dejan Stankovic and Gaby Mudingayi, who are all injured.

What’s more, Fredy Guarin and Christian Chivu are both suspended, meaning that Matias Silvestre is set to make a rare start at the back. Mateo Kovacic should start behind a front two of Antonio Cassano and Rodrigo Palacio.

Their guests have a shorter injury list. Gennaro Sardo, Boukary Drame and Adrian Stoian will all miss out, but they have no suspension worries.

  • Chievo last overcame the Nerazzurri in Verona in November 2010.
  • Out of Serie A’s top six teams, only Lazio have scored fewer than Inter’s 36 goals so far this season.
  • Diego Milito has scored eight Serie A goals so far this season, but has found the net in just one of his last eight.
  • Chievo’s Alberto Paloschi, who has been on loan in Verona since 2011, has already represented enjoyed two stints at AC Milan and one each at Parma and Genoa, despite being just 23 years of age.
