Gian Piero Gasperini says Inter need to be Serie A leaders but insists Atalanta will beat the Nerazzurri sooner or later.
La Dea visit the Giuseppe Meazza to face Antonio Conte’s side on Monday.
“If there’s the law of averages, we’ll succeed sooner or later,” Gasperini told at a news conference .
“Tomorrow’s game will say tons about our conditions, we face a team who are deservedly on top of the table, they need an honest gap on Juventus, they’re a robust candidate to win the title, but there are still 13 games left,” the coach added.
Inter and Atalanta have the simplest attacks in Serie A.
“It’s an excellent satisfaction to possess the simplest attack. It gives us self-esteem and proves many players can score.
“This team is giving me satisfaction. it’s too early to form judgements, but we are building something important.
“Everyone feels well. there’s an honest environment. The last games we played against Inter were positive. Inter and Juve have something quite us, but we’ve been on the brink of closing the gap within the games we played against them.
“Only Hateboer and Sutalo aren’t available. we expect about ourselves. Tomorrow we face the table leaders during a crucial match for us.
“If we’ve an honest attitude in Milan, we will get more self-confidence,” he added.
“Single players are going to be important, but collective performance is crucial. If we will limit their strikers, we’ll have more chances.
“We shouldn’t concede space to Hakimi, while Gosens has evolved tactically. Their clash on the flank are going to be of the items to observe within the game.”
CONMEBOL have announced they’ve decided to postpone the 2022 World Cup qualifiers that were planned for later this month.
“It’s excellent news , but we’ve an equivalent problems with other teams in England and Germany,” Gasperini said.
“Other players will leave for 2 weeks and return on Friday to play a League game on Saturday. It’s very complicated.”
