Sassuolo striker Francesco Caputo is the most accurate Serie A marksman of 2020, finding the net on average once every 3.2 shots on goal, with Ciro Immobile only in fifth place.
Sky Sport Italia calculated the number of efforts it required to find the back of the net in Serie A matches during the calendar year 2020.
There were some surprising results, as Capocannoniere for the 2019-20 season Immobile required four attempts for every goal, while runner-up Cristiano Ronaldo needed 5.4 efforts.
Caputo was a shining star for Sassuolo, finding the back of the net 19 times in 62 shots, giving him an average of 3.2 efforts per goal.
Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout follows with a goal every 3.4 attempts, but most of his 12 goals in 41 shots were from the penalty spot.
Inter’s Romelu Lukaku follows, with Atalanta supersub Luis Muriel in fourth place, followed by Lazio hitman Immobile and Milan pair Ante Rebic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Ronaldo is only the eighth most efficient, with Joao Pedro at Cagliari and Roma’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan completing the top 10.
