The goalkeeper says he will do his bit in order to boost his new team’s bid to sign the winger, who has been deemed surplus to requirements at Inter
New Borussia Dortmund signing Roman Burki has revealed that he will text Xherdan Shaqiri in the hope of persuading his fellow Switzerland international to join him at Signal Iduna Park.
The goalkeeper completed a €3.5 million move to BVB last month and signed a four-year contract with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
Burki is already loving life in Dortmund and is now hoping that his new club’s interest in Inter ace Shaqiri will materialise into a move.
“I will definitely write to him,” Burki told Bild.
“I have no idea if Xherdan is of interest to BVB but anyone who talks about BVB raves about 81,000 spectators at Signal Iduna Park. There are 25,000 fans alone on the south stand!
“I can only say positives about my new team. They are all great people who reallly support newcomers.”
Shaqiri only joined Inter from Bayern Munich in January of this year but he has already been deemed surplus to requirements at San Siro by Nerazzurri coach Roberto Mancini.
