According to Sky Sport, Atalanta are in no rush to part ways with Papu Gomez and are not going to sell him on the cheap, especially to their Serie A rivals, including Inter and Milan.
The Argentinean is expected to leave Atalanta in the January transfer window amid a tense relationship with coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Sky Sport, however, La Dea are in no rush to sell the 32-year-old who played his last game with La Dea against Juventus on December 16.
The Nerazzurri are waiting for the best offer to come and do not want to sell him on the cheap, especially in Serie A.
Inter and Milan have reportedly contacted the player’s agent Beppe Riso, but no official bid has been placed yet.
Atalanta are in no rush to sell their star and according to Sky Sport a move abroad is the most likely option at the moment as they don’t want to strengthen their direct rivals in Italy.
If Atalanta won’t receive any concrete offer by the end of January, they could decide to leave Gomez out of their Serie A list until the end of the season or try to find a way to reintegrate the former Catania man, although this last option appears to be unlikely.
