The Chile forward previously failed to secure first team football with the Nerazzurri, but is craving for a second chance
Cagliari striker Mauricio Pinilla has admitted that it would be hard to turn down Inter if the Giuseppe Meazza side were to make a move for him.
The 29-year-old was one of the surprises of the 2012-13 campaign as he netted seven goals in 23 Serie A appearances and his good performances have reportedly resulted in interest from Walter Mazzarri’s side.
“Playing for Inter has been a dream ever since I was a child. I have always been an Inter supporter,” Pinilla told Mega.
“An important Nerazzurri director has told me that it’s never too late to re-join Inter. That serves as motivation to me. We will see what happens.”
Nevertheless, the attacker admitted that a transfer seems unlikely at this point as he’s happy with life at his current club.
“I have a two-year contract with Cagliari and we are in talks over an extra year. I am feeling very well here in Sardinia and something extraordinary would have to happen if I were to switch clubs.”
Pinilla was previously contracted to Inter in 2003-04, but never made it into the Nerazzurri‘s first team.
