BELGRADE – Two more goals and the desire to play a key role for the team, as always. That’s Rodrigo Palacio, who gave his thoughts after the win over Partizan: "The desire is always there. I came on in the second half to help the team and I’m pleased I was able to do my bit. I came on and we won. Three important points. Which goal was more difficult? The second one, I must say that Guarin laid it on for me beautifully. What did Milito say to me? He was happy for me."
The three points mean Inter are already mathematically assured of their place in the round of 32 in February, which is surely an advantage for the league campaign: "Sure, now we can concentrate on Serie A, which is tough. We have to keep plugging away as always."
Finally, when asked about his preferred position, Palacio stressed, "What I enjoy most is playing. The boss can put me where he wants, all I want to do is play."
