Was that Inter’s best performance of the season so far?
"Without a doubt."
After an excellent first half, it seemed like the team were halted by the fact they hadn’t yet won at home.
"No, I don’t think that was preying on their minds. That was the right way to play the game. They were careful, watchful. We missed a lot of chances, we could have led 4-1 at the break and scored a further goal in the second half."
Would you have preferred to be travelling to Baku at a different time, not in the same week as the derby?
"People have said this from the outset but we have to go there."
