Moratti: "Stramaccioni, 3 year contract"

MILAN – Upon leaving the Saras offices, president Massimo Moratti answered the questions of the waiting journalists.

Here’s what the president had to say:

There is talk of telephone calls between you and Aurelio De Laurentiis over a deal for Lavezzi, have you heard from him today?

"No, I’ve not spoken to him, not today."

Andrea Stramaccioni was seen entering Inter headquarters this afternoon. Is there any news?

"I wasn’t there so…"

But is it official that his contract has been renewed?

"Yes, his contract was renewed earlier for 3 years."

What can you tell us about Lucas? We saw his agents today and the fans are starting to get excited…

"These are obviously things that other people talk about, but this year we have to be careful in every sense of the word."

Daniele De Rossi said yesterday that the betting scandal is worse than Calciopoli in 2006.

"It depends on how you see things, they’re both unpleasant. That one came from high-ranking officials and in my mind was even worse."

Have you heard prime minister Mario Monti’s idea of stopping football for two or three years?

How did you leave things with president De Laurentiis? Will you go ahead with the deal for El Pocho?

"We said that we’d be in touch, but neither of us has been able to as we’ve both been busy."
