Late goals from Ivan Perisic and Danilo D’Ambrosio sealed an important victory for the Nerazzurri as Inter move above Fiorentina and into the top four
Inter were forced to be patient at the San Siro on Saturday as they stole maximum points with a narrow 2-1 win over Bologna to close the gap to the automatic Champions League places.
Star man Mauro Icardi was forced off the field early on in the encounter, as Inter’s main goal scoring threat sprained ligaments in his right knee.
The Nerazzurri were stifled by the visitors for huge periods of the game but finally went ahead on 72 minutes as Ivan Perisic headed into an unguarded net from point-blank range following Danilo D’Ambrosio’s header across goal from a corner.
D’Ambrosio then added his own name to the scoresheet four minutes later, turning in the loose bouncing ball from another corner.
Bologna then pulled a goal back with just their first goal in a month as Franco Brienza struck his low shot into the bottom corner past the helpless Samir Handanovic.
