Juventus in talks with Inter over Vucinic-Guarin exchange deal

The Giuseppe Meazza side are keen to lure the former Roma man away from his current club and could send the midfielder in the other direction as part of the deal

Mirko Vucinic is set to leave Juventus for Inter as the Nerazzurri aim to strengthen their attack, while versatile midfielder Fredy Guarin could move in the opposite direction as part of the deal, Goal can confirm.

Inter coach Walter Mazzarri is keen to add some more firepower to his squad and the Giuseppe Meazza side have earmarked the 30-year-old Vucinic as a useful addition.

The Montenegro striker was previously linked to the Premier League as his agent Alessandro Lucci travelled to London for talks with Arsenal.

However, the Premier League side were only considering a loan move, while Juventus want to sell Vucinic outright, thus opening the door for Inter.

The forward is believed to have said goodbye to his team-mates at the Vinovo, the Bianconeri’s training ground, ahead of a probable switch to the fifth-placed Serie A side.

The Nerazzurri are in advanced talks with the Serie A champions and will continue talks later on Monday to discuss the inclusion of Guarin.

The Colombia international, 27, is keen to leave Inter after falling out with the club’s board of directors and had previously caught the attention of Chelsea.

A move to Jose Mourinho’s side eventually fell through, but he could now continue his career at Juventus instead as both sides are nearing an agreement.
