I would never coach Juventus, claims Stramaccioni

The 37-year-old has refuted the notion he could take over at Juventus Stadium, despite opposite number Antonio Conte hinting at interest in the Nerazzurri post

Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has claimed he could never be tempted to take the helm at Juventus.

Bianconeri boss Antonio Conte admitted on Friday that he would consider taking charge at Guiseppe Meazza in the future, but Stramaccioni has played down suggestions he could one day move in the other direction.

“It’s hard to see myself on the Juventus bench,” the 37-year-old told a press conference.

“My coaching career is still young. Maybe in a few years’ time I’ll be somewhere else, but not there.

“The fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. I know the truth; I’ve spoken with the president.”

The Nerazzurri host Juventus this weekend in a crucial Derby D’Italia, and Stramaccioni insists his side will be motivated by the underdog tag heading into the fixture.

“Some are saying that we have little chance of winning but we’ll try to use the fact that we are billed as underdogs as extra motivation,” he went on.

“It will be an open game and could go either way. We’ll approach it like we did in the reverse fixture, perhaps with a slightly different system, but we’ll give it a good go tomorrow.

“We’re going out to win the match and I’m sure Inter will put in a good performance.”
