Giovanissimi N.: Cerrone, "We are thinking Juve"

CHIANCIANO TERME – "The finals are like this: you are happy about winning but you have to concentrate on the next match immediately," which kicks off in a matter of hours, no less. Salvatore Cerrone, Inter’s Giovanissimi Nazionali coach, tells us. After the victory against Roma, we’ll meet Juventus now, following their 3-0 win against Reggina. It will probably be the key match in group 1 for qualifying for the championship semi-finals. "Against Roma, the boys got off to a nervous start," said Cerrone. "They were probably conditioned by the long wait for this final stage of the competition as well as being worried about the importance of the game and the weather conditions: hot and windy on a pitch that wasn’t in great condition. They coped well with these problems especially in the second half against tough opposition like Roma. We must never forget that these are youngsters of 15 and some even 14 years of age and this is the first time for them at a competitive level like this. It’s a great experience for them of course and they deserve to be here after the season they put in. So, as I told them in the changing rooms, now that the Roma match is over, we must start thinking about Juventus immediately. In the finals everyone is around the same level, so we can expect another two hard matches."
