Gasperini: "Nothing shady, but…"

APPIANO GENTILE – "There has always been a bit more criticism and
nastiness towards Inter," said Gian Piero Gasperini during the press
conference on the eve of Novara v Inter. "But the best way to respond to
criticism will be on the pitch," added the coach, who then gave his
thoughts on the standings. "And then after only two match days, they take
a bit of time to settle. Certainly Napoli and Juve are doing very well."

The coach added: "The road taken now seems to me the right one, we must
continue to demonstrate solidity. However, I believe that in these matches we
haven’t deserved so few points. There have also been certain serious episodes
that have been heavily masked, so it’s better to say nothing, absolutely
nothing, and that’s fine. The results, however, could have been different.
Without thinking of anything shady, but if an offside had been called in the Champions
League the result would have been different. If a penalty had been awarded in
Palermo, things probably have been different. And so on…"
