Cagliari vs Inter Milan: Picking Luciano Spalletti’s Best Available I Nerazzurri Lineup

?This Friday, Inter Milan travel away to Cagliari in the Serie A as they look to extend their fine run of recent form to five wins from six in all competitions.

Cagliari are currently caught in a bit of slump with just one win in theri last five league outings. Consider this, Spalletti may smell blood. He’ll demand nothing more than a winning performance from is players.

Here’s how Inter may line up.

1. Goalkeeper and Defence

Samir Handanovic (GK) – The experienced keeper should start this one. Enough said.

Dalbert Henrique (LB) – He’s struggled for appearances this season, making just nine in the league so far. But he might retain his place against Cagliari.

Milan Skriniar (CB) – A rock a the back for Inter in recent times, it seems Skriniar’s reputation is enhanced a little with every outing.

Stefan De Vrij (CB) – His relationship with Skriniar at the back has been crucial to Inter’s strong form of late. There’s no need to mix things up, so De Vrij should start.

Danilo D’Ambrosio (RB) – With two goals and three assists to his name, D’Ambrosio has proven to be a threat when he gets forward. He’ll hope to get the chance to bomb down the flank against Cagliari.

2. Midfielders

Ivan ?Perisic (LM)  – With a goal in his last outing, Perisic will hope to put in another good performance. Expect his usual mix of power and energy driving up and down the left flank.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) – The Croatian has featured in 22 games for Inter in the league this season. It would be a surprise if he doesn’t’ start this one.

Radja Nainggolan (CM) – Il Ninja will bring his usual class to the middle of the park as Inter look to dominate proceedings.

Matias Vecino (CM) – The Uruguayan has pretty much been a mainstay this season playing alongside Brozovic and Nainggolan. It’s unlikely this trio will change against Cagliari.

Antonio Candreva (RM) – He didn’t start in that dramatic 3-3 draw with Fiorentina last night out, but Spalletti may bring Candreva in just to freshen things up a touch.

3. Forward

Lautaro Martinez

Lautaro Martinez (ST) – When these two met earlier on in the season, Martinez grabbed himself a goal – his first in the league for the club. With no Mauro Icardi available, he’ll hope to repeat the trick and score again.
